About

I entered the financial services industry in 1997 after starting my career in the mechanical engineering field some years earlier. I believe that to be on top of your game it is necessary to continuously upskill yourself and keep up with technology and current trends. My stint in the engineering field most certainly helped me to get a deeper understanding of figures and honed my analytical skills. Early in my career, I obtained my Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and I became accredited as a Certified Financial Planner®. I furthered my studies by obtaining my Advanced Postgraduate Diploma majoring in investments and estate planning.

As my clients grew older and started approaching retirement, I realised how their concerns and priorities changed. I became fascinated by the principles of behavioural finance and positive psychology. I started investigating and studying the principles of behavioural coaching and positive psychology, and in 2024, I obtained my certification as a Certified Professional Retirement Coach (CPRC). My consultations now include principles beyond just the technical side of money and planning and include the emotional side of money. Since investment decisions are based 80% on emotions, this is a side that cannot be ignored.

I take great pride in receiving gratitude from clients who acknowledge the positive impact I’ve had on their lives. My approach is client-focused, and I strive to tailor my plans to meet the unique needs of each individual. In order to ensure top-notch service, I’ve made a commitment to work with only 100 clients, in line with WealthUp’s client servicing policy. It’s a source of pride for me to note that many of my clients have trusted my advice and guidance for over two decades.

For me, financial planning is not just about numbers and wealth accumulation. It’s a holistic approach that encompasses planning, enhancing, and safeguarding lives and livelihoods. It’s also about understanding and addressing the emotional and psychological aspects of financial decisions. empowering individuals to live life to the fullest, both now and in the future.

In order to assist and guide retirees and all those interested in retirement, I recently started a “retirement community” where I intend to provide information and guidance to make retirement enjoyable and provide tools to cope with the challenges that retirement brings. Company info

WealthUp is a client-focused, fee-based, boutique financial planning business that was established in 2012. We believe that a financial plan cannot be constructed without gaining a deep understanding of our client’s history and experience with money. We also believe that clients should be rewarded and enjoy the fruits of their hard work during their lives and not only after retirement.

We go the extra mile when consulting with our clients to make sure we plan around their needs and wants. Our financial plans and guidance are tailor-made to suit each client’s specific individual needs. We achieve this by starting with life planning before structuring a practical implementable financial plan.

We are a team of 6 like-minded individuals who serve our global clients as a team and all our lead advisors are CFP® professionals. We are fiercely independent and our services do not require the purchase of a product. Our motto: Live life fully now.
