  • Fund focus and objective  
The 27four Shari'ah Income Prescient Fund will seek to follow an investment policy which will secure for investors income and a level of stable capital growth over time.
In order to achieve this objective the fund will invest in collective investment schemes and direct investments in fixed income securities including but not limited to, bonds, Islamic assets, money market, listed property, preference shares and other income generating securities that are Shari'ah compliant in both South Africa and internationally, which have a fixed maturity date and either have a predetermined cash flow profile or are linked to benchmark yields. Asset allocation will be managed actively and the fund endeavors to deliver low volatility over time.
The fund will seek to capture value opportunities by switching between asset classes. The fund is permitted to include listed and unlisted financial instruments as determined by the Registrar from time to time. The portfolio will predominately invest in South African markets, but is however permitted to include investments in offshore jurisdictions subject to the investment conditions determined by the Registrar from time to time.
The portfolio will be subject to the Prudential Investment Guidelines for South African Retirement Funds, being Regulation 28 of the Pension Funds Act, or such other legislation published from time to time.
